Pilgrimage for Peace & Justice – Greensboro

Walking Route:
11:00am – Meet at Center City Park (200 N. Elm Street, Greensboro)
Peace Walk: Join the Pilgrimage for Peace and Justice as we walk 3 miles to the Friendly Center
12:45pm – Friendly Center Post Office (610 Pembroke Road, Greensboro)
Peaceful Witness at Post Office: As many scramble to mail off their federal tax returns, we carry a message that we want our tax dollars used on positive, peaceful measures, not runaway military spending.
3:30pm – Guilford Campus, Room TBD (5800 W. Friendly Road)
Program at Guilford College: Peace Pilgrims will share in depth their reasons for walking, including NAFTA’s 20th Anniversary, military spending, and immigration reform.
5:30pm – TBD, Meet at Melvin Municipal Building (300 W. Washington Street, Greensboro)
Evening Program on Welcoming Greensboro Initiative: Hear immigrant stories and learn about efforts to make Greensboro a welcoming city.
